Cooperative 3 artists installation

Art Project by Elisa Sassera in cooperation with Michela Battaglia and Claudia Vieira.

The purpose of this experimental, art project cooperation was born by the desire to connect each other as visual artists and also as human beings due to the disconnecting daily life that all of us are part of and it’s open to ALL of you as well.

Two years ago Claudia Vieira and I started in our Community (Park Slope) the - WE ARE ONE -Art Project: spreading our love for Art and Life to children and adults using Art/creativity as tools of connection.

At the CFASS Art group show opening on March 5th of 2015, the connecting tools are the four Photographs: 2 chosen by Michela and I and the metaphoric connecting black tape used by Claudia Vieira.

The 2 photos selected from Michela Battaglia, an Italian Photographer from Palermo are from her Photo project: “See you at Rainbow bridge”, the Hartsdale Pet Cemetery she discovered  in Westchester County, New York.

See you at Rainbow bridge, by Michela Battaglia's webpage

Hartsdale Pet Cemetery was established in 1896 by Dr. Samuel Johnson, a New York City veterinarian, who offered an apple orchard in Westchester County to serve as a burial plot for a bereaved friend’s dog. That single compassionate act served as the cornerstone for what was to become America’s first pet cemetery.

My two selected photos “ Omage to Omar Toache” represent the strong  attraction I had for this amazing, magical community commemorative death/ life Monument that is continuously growing on a fence I discovered in 2014, during my way to Joshua Tree, Rice, CA dedicated to this individual: Omar Toache. ( d.o.b: 11-06-59- d.o.d.: 11-13-98).

Our connecting theme is the topography of Memory.

Continue living; reinforce your connection to humanity by remembering the past and that way regain empathy, magic and poetry.

For "ONE" Art Project at CFASS we celebrate The Circle of Life and we commemorate the life of those who have lost it .

 We are ONE.
